Entries are now open for the 2026 New Zealand MTBO Champs. Enter here.
- Early bird entries close: midnight, 12th April.
- Standard entries close: midnight, 10th May.
- Late entries are solely at the discretion of the organiser and would incur a fee of $10 per event on top of the advertised fee.
- There will be no enter on day entries available.
ENTRY FEES
- All event fees are in NZ dollars and include GST.
- Entry fees listed above are for any orienteering club member. Overseas orienteering club members also qualify at member rate.
- Non-Club Member levy's are payable by anyone who is not an orienteering club member.
* Note - Family is maximum of 2 Seniors and any number of Juniors resident at the same address.
Map Board Hire
OBOP has a small number of mapboards available for OBOP club members. Contact [email protected] if interested in borrowing one for this event.
Payments
Payment is by credit card (preferred) or bank transfer. Please follow the instructions in the entry system.
Dinner
We have booked the CT Club in Rotorua for dinner on Saturday night, which offers a chance for attendees to socialise and enjoy a meal and drinks. We will need final numbers confirmed by the entry closing date on 10th May, and this can be booked through the entry system.
Dinner prices are below, which cover a two course buffet meal (main and dessert) - details to come on choices available:
- Adults $50
- Children 13 and under $25
Drinks will be available from 6pm, with dinner served from 7pm. We will also do the prizegiving for day 1 around 8pm.
Sportident Air Cards (SIAC)
For the 2026 MTBO Champs the use of Air enabled Sportident cards (SIAC) is mandatory. Older style (non Air) SI cards will not be able to be used or be registered for this event.
This means that athletes who do not own an SIAC must hire a card - free for OBOP members, and hire fee applied to non OBOP competitors.
The reason for making SI Air mandatory is to enhance the experience for all participants, and mitigate the issue of people stopping at controls which can impede other competitors.

Start Time Requests
- For parents with young children, or people with tight travel schedules, you may request start time preferences.
- All requests should be emailed to [email protected] by 10th May latest. Requests after this date may not be able to be met, and will be at the organisers discretion.
Change of Entry Details (grade, SI number), Race Withdrawal
- For changes to grade, SI number or race withdrawal, please email [email protected] by 10th May latest.
Refund Policy
- Refund of 90% of fees paid for withdrawals prior to 12th April.
- Refund of 75% of fees paid for withdrawals after 12th April and prior to 10th May.
- No refunds for withdrawals after 10th May.
- Refunds will be processed after the event.
